Deep Basin supplier management
On May 17, 2017, Cenovus acquired most of ConocoPhillips’ Deep Basin conventional properties in Alberta and British Columbia.
As part of the acquisition activities, Cenovus will be taking over certain contracts that relate to the following Deep Basin properties:
- Clearwater (east and west)
- Horn River
- Other small properties in the Deep Basin region
If your company provides goods or services to Cenovus’s Deep Basin properties, please follow these invoicing instructions.
Health and safety information related to the Deep Basin
Vendors and suppliers who haven’t worked with Cenovus before the Deep Basin acquisition:
Cenovus uses ISNetworld as our primary contractor safety prequalification system and to document health and safety performance. We require contractors that work on Cenovus sites (e.g. on-site vendors and service providers) to maintain an active ISNetworld subscription and meet or exceed our safety requirements.
Cenovus has some industry-leading qualification requirements, including submission of a written Alcohol & Drug program for review and completion of a Cenovus-specific questionnaire, which we will use to gather your company’s health and safety data.
On-site vendors and service providers will have six months to meet our qualification requirements. On-site service providers who cannot or choose not to meet our requirements by November 30, 2017, will be removed from our vendor list and won’t be able to work for Cenovus.
Vendors and service providers who’ve done business with Cenovus before the Deep Basin acquisition:
If you have an active subscription with ISNetworld, and have an acceptable status with Cenovus, there is no further action for you.
If you want to follow up on your account status, visit ISNetworld or contact your ISNetworld customer service representative.
