Cenovus health, safety and environmental requirements (schedules) for suppliers

The following table sets out different health, safety and environmental requirements (HSE schedules) for Cenovus suppliers and includes guidance about when each schedule should be used.

Jurisdiction HSE Schedule Name When to be used
Western Canada HSE Schedule 3.1 (Minor)
  • No work on a Cenovus site
  • No Cenovus personal at supplier’s site

HSE Schedule 3.2 (Moderate)

  • Supplier on Cenovus site but no hands-on work being performed by supplier and Cenovus is Prime Contractor
  • Cenovus personnel at supplier’s site

HSE Schedule 3.3 (Critical)

  • Supplier personnel present on a Cenovus site
  • Hand-on work is being performed by supplier
  • Cenovus is Prime Contractor

Supplier is delegated Prime Contractor

  • HSE Schedule 3.3 to be developed and include Prime Contractor expectations.
  • Supplier required to prepare their own HSE schedule for their subcontractors which is to be approved by Cenovus

HSE Site Specific Supplemental Requirements

  • HSE site specific supplemental requirements provide additional HSE requirements for a work site.
  • The HSE site specific supplemental requirements must be included as part of the HSE Schedule.
