At Cenovus, we believe our people are a powerful force for good. Through Cenovus Cares, our Employee Giving and Volunteering Program, we empower employees and their families to support causes close to their hearts.
Giving
Company matching
Cenovus matches eligible donations and fundraising efforts at 100%, up to $10,000 per year. Immediate family members can also participate, sharing the annual limit.
Volunteering
Company-paid time off
Employees may volunteer during work hours with paid time off, subject to supervisor approvals, reflecting our commitment to community involvement, flexibility and a purpose-driven workplace.
Volunteer-powered contributions
Employees who volunteer, can earn up to $1,000 per year to donate to eligible causes of their choice. The amount is calculated based on the number of hours volunteered outside of work hours, and can include volunteer hours from immediate family members.
When a group of five or more employees volunteer together for at least one hour, Cenovus provides a $1,000 grant to the organization where the volunteering took place.
