We’re committed to improving job and career readiness for young people and the incoming workforce, providing innovative skills training and enhancing professional development. 

Through partnerships with post-secondary institutions in our regions, we’re helping students access and benefit from cutting-edge technology, facilities and resources – enhancing STEM education and innovation and enabling graduates to be better prepared for their careers.   

Through these partnerships, we support a variety of scholarships to support students as they prepare to be future leaders of our industry.

Indigenous Scholarship Program

Each year, we offer scholarships for Indigenous students residing in Canada near our operating areas, who are pursuing a full-time degree, diploma or certified trade. These annual scholarships are valued at $5,000 and are renewable for up to four years, or to the completion of your program. 

Our Indigenous Scholarship Program, administered through Indspire, is designed to:

• Give Indigenous students the opportunity to join the Cenovus team through a variety of roles.
• Encourage Indigenous students to pursue and complete post-secondary education.
• Increase the number of Indigenous professionals and role models in communities where we operate.
• Further the potential for local employment in the oil and gas industry.
