Total gas vented

Venting is used to describe natural gas that's released. Both flaring and venting release GHG emissions into the atmosphere. The 32 percent decrease in 2013 is primarily due to the sale of the Lower Shaunavon assets in July 2013. Reductions also occurred at our conventional oil and gas operations in Alberta and our heavy oil operation in Pelican Lake.
