Cenovus contributes to flood relief efforts in southeastern Saskatchewan
Flooding in 2011 devastated parts of southeastern Saskatchewan where our Weyburn operation is located. Cenovus responded to the disaster with a $10,000 donation to the Canadian Red Cross for relief efforts. Cenovus also provided pumps, generators and goods-in-kind to help the communities hardest hit, particularly the Regional Municipality of Lomond and the small village of Goodwater. Many staff from the Weyburn and Estevan areas took part in local relief efforts, and were personally impacted by the flooding. They volunteered around the clock to help with sandbagging and pumping efforts. It's an example of how our staff embody our company's efforts to ensure the communities where we live and work are stronger and better off as a result of our being there.
