Employees share their time and a meal at Ronald McDonald House
Our employees gathered at Calgary's Ronald McDonald House on October 21, 2011 to cook a home-style Thanksgiving meal for sick children and their families staying at the House. The event was just one of many community volunteer activities being held during our annual employee giving campaign in October. It also coincided with the company announcing a $1 million donation to the three Ronald McDonald Houses in Alberta.
Our Thanks & Giving campaign is an opportunity to encourage and celebrate our employees’ community spirit. During the campaign and all year long, employees choose to make donations to charities that are meaningful to them. We match these donations up to $25,000 per employee, per year. Grants may also be provided to charitable organizations with which our employees volunteer.
